Day Five, the final day of the Lilliputters Tour 2016 - Friday 5th August.
This year, we had Aaron's mini ring at the Scout Hut; Brian! While still being tweaked with, we certainly made full use of the bells during the week, with five quarter peals, including two in the early hours! The bells were used as the "test" ring for many methods we rang during the day, including for Kaleeb Minor. Footage here is of Connor and Isaac performing a duet using Brian and a ukulele, and the first couple of leads from the final quarter peal we rang during the week, Plain Bob Major on the Friday Morning. Photos of Brian were taken at various times during the week.
Milford on Sea: We stopped here for lunch, rectifying the only lockout of last year's tour - the chippy was open this year! :-) The bells were easily in the top three of the week, a classic 1928 Taylor octave where we produced some of our best ringing. Footage here is of Superlative Surprise Major and Stedman Triples (inside,) and Grandsire Triples (outside).
Brockenhurst: Moving on, there was a definite "end of tour" feel by this point. The light 8 are a mixture of Whitechapel and Clement Tosier bells from varying dates, and handle well, although they are heinously oddstruck! Footage here is of Stedman Triples inside, rounds in the belfry, and Grandsire Triples outside.
The Old Gas Works Campanile: The final tower of the tour was another mini ring! The 3 didn't clapper at handstroke and the 4 liked to jump off the pulley, which provided much amusement. Footage here is of Plain Hunt Triples, and Kaleeb Minor - a fitting way to round the tour off!
And I'm afraid that's all folks! Here's to 2017's Tour! :-)
