(Part 1) Scotty B had fun as the emcee for the Mascot Games press conference (and party) the night before the Games at the new New Hope for Kids facility in Maitland, near Orlando. He opened by introducing the mascots (Fin the Whale, Harry The Hawk, Lil Red, Slamson the Lion, Stuff the Magic Dragon, Tommy Hawk) for the humorous press conference. Afterward, they signed autographs, posed for photos and provided some mascot zaniness to the delight of the crowd. Mascots from throughout North America then battled in a two-day competition (July 25-26) for the top trophy at the Amway Center in Orlando. The fun-filled event is organized by and benefits New Hope for Kids, a place that has been helping Central Florida children in need. It brings hope, healing and happiness to children and families suffering from grief, loss or life-threatening illnesses.
