State Intelligence Chief (2024 – Present)

In July 2024, following the change of government in Andhra Pradesh, he was appointed as the Chief of the Intelligence Department.

He was repatriated prematurely from his central deputation with the CRPF at the specific request of the state government to lead the intelligence wing.

Cyclone Montha Response (October 2025): He played a pivotal role alongside the Chief Minister’s Office in managing the state’s response to Cyclone Montha. His real-time intelligence inputs were credited with helping coordinate the evacuation and relief efforts effectively.


Whistle-blower Protection (November 2024): He was appointed as the Nodal Officer responsible for providing security cover to whistle-blowers who report corruption or misuse of office by government employees.


2. Central Deputation (CRPF & NIA)

CRPF (2020–2024): He served as the Inspector General (IG) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). He was posted in the Jammu Sector and later at the CRPF Directorate in Delhi, handling operations.



NIA (2012): Earlier in his career, he served on deputation with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) as a Superintendent of Police (SP), handling sensitive terror-related investigations.

3. Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner (2018–2019)

He served as the Police Commissioner of Visakhapatnam City. During his tenure, he focused on modernizing the force and managing law and order in the port city.

Laddha has extensive experience in anti-extremist operations. He served in the Greyhounds, the elite anti-Naxal commando force of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, where he was recognized for his effectiveness in countering Left-Wing Extremism (LWE).
