Flat Foot Surgery Recovery: Week 2 Update

It has been 2 weeks since I had flat foot surgery on my right foot. I am still in pain, although much less than I was in the week after surgery in which it felt like someone stabbed my foot with a knife.

Today I went to see my doctor and she cut off my very thick post-surgical cast. I then got my sutures removed, which was quite painful. After that I received X-rays to make sure the bones were healing properly. I then had my foot moved inward as it was placed in a stylish red cast.

I am going to be in this cast for another 4 to 5 weeks before I begin physical therapy on my foot. I knew that having flat foot surgery would be a long arduous recovery before, but until you actually have it done to yourself, you don't realize how hard the recovery process truly is!
