Tao Te Ching 《道德经》Chapter 12

This chapter directly addresses five dilemmas of modern existence: dazzling colors blind the eyes, chaotic sounds deafen the ears, excessive flavors dull the tongue, reckless pursuits drive the heart mad, and rare treasures lead one astray. Laozi, with a sharp and incisive brushstroke, pierces through the illusion of “more is better.” His philosophy is like a precise scalpel, peeling away the superficial glamour of contemporary life and revealing the essence of “less is more.”
