Members of Parliament debated President Cyril Ramaphosa's State of the Nation Address this week. This was followed by the President's reply.
Most MPs described Ramaphosa's new dawn as a 'false dawn" characterised by a rudderless country, which is going from bad to worse. However, the President was quick to rebut this characterisation during his reply by trying to reassure the nation that the country was on a path of progressive renewal.
