Lipedema and Vein Disease

A few months ago Rebekah made a video called the Financial Cost of Lipedema where she explained that the health insurance at her new job wouldn't pay for her venous insufficiency treatment, regardless of medical necessity. In this video she talks about lipedema and varicose vein treatment and explains how she worked with her HR department to get the policy changed and the treatment for her chronic venous insufficiency covered by insurance. Rebekah had her first treatment for venous insufficiency three years ago and she describes how the second round of treatment has felt different as well as what she has done for her recovery. She shares her favorite leg elevation pillow and shows how she uses it. She also shares tips for working with insurance companies.

Discovering that she had vein disease ultimately led to Rebekah's diagnoses with lipedema and lymphedema as well.
