What Makes a Morgan Horse So Special?

Everyone has their favorite breed of horse, but there has always been something different about the Morgan breed. From the time of the old founding stallion Figure (Justin Morgan), discriminating horsemen have looked to the Morgan breed to establish new breeds, improve grade livestock and in the late 19th and early 20th centuries was the favored breed to take our soldiers off to war. So I sent out a message on the internet. "What is it that makes a Morgan Horse so special?
The answers came flooding back to me from across the United States and as far away as Switzerland, via pictures and comments. Here are the answers they gave.
