ज्यावेळी बाबासाहेब ज्ञानाच्या सागरात बुडाले होते, तेव्हा संसाराचा गाडा ओढताना रमाईचे हात झिजत होते. बाबासाहेब 'सूर्य' झाले कारण रमाईने स्वतःच्या आयुष्याची 'पणती' केली. लंडनच्या कडाक्याच्या थंडीत साहेब कोट नसताना कुडकुडत होते, आणि इकडे रमाई शेण-गोवर्यांच्या धुरावर संसाराची ऊब जपत होती. भीमाच्या लेखणीतील शाई बनून क्रांतीचा इतिहास लिहिणाऱ्या त्या मातेची ही हृदयस्पर्शी गाथा... प्रत्येक आंबेडकरी अनुयायाने ऐकावे असे गीत!
This song depicts the unparalleled sacrifice of Ramabai Ambedkar (Ramai). History tells us of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's dedication to his studies and the social revolution, but often overlooks the extreme poverty and hardships Ramai faced back home. While Babasaheb was "lost in books" to build a nation, Ramai struggled to find "grains to cook." She protected the family and supported his mission, effectively becoming the "Ink" in his pen that wrote the Indian Constitution.
