2 DAYS IN NUSA LEMBONGAN

Last week we had a great adventure, that started to became real only the night before, around 10pm for a 8am departure the next day!

We were challenged by our friends Susi and Marcos, for a 3 day trip do Nusa Lembongan! As none of us knew that small island, we knew that is was a great opportunity to go visit it with a private guides.

It was a bit stressful in the beginning, getting all the bags ready, booking an hotel, should I take a surfboard or not, waking up to a huge rain storm...well, not an easy start, but we managed to get to Sanur on time for the 10:30am fast boat (Tanis fast boat - for those who might be interested).

After a very quick boat trip (only 30min), we arrived on Mushroom beach, rented a scooter and headed to the Hotel (Nanuk's Bungalows, near Tamarind beach), to leave the bags and start our discovery of this little island paradise.

First stop was Jungubatu beach, where we can see the abandoned crane, next to the wave called Shipsterns. We chilled a bit around the beach, had lunch and enjoy the sandy beach for a couple of hours.

After a bit, we decided to go explore, so headed to Ceningan, passing the Yellow bridge (what an adventure to cross that old thing on a scooter). Saw the Blue Lagoon and found a gem on the far end of Ceningan, the Mahana Point. An amazing setup bar, on a cliff, facing the sunset and with a very rippable left hander bellow the deck (you jump from the bar directly to the water and are right there, on the peak).

Had a fun surf session, watching the sunset, only getting out of the water when the sun was gone...climbing the metal ladder, directly from the ocean into the bar.

Next day, the adventure was different, a Snorkeling trip was setup by our friends! It was amazing, first on shallow coral reef, full o fishes. Then we went all the way to the coast of Nusa Penida to look for Manta Rays. Lucky us, we still managed to see one, unfortunately we didn't swim with them around us, she got scared and went about with her life.

Next stop was Crystal Bay, where we saw a couple of sea turtles wondering around. And for the last stop we visit The Wall, where we could follow a sea current next to a huge cliff and see lots of fishes.

After a complete morning of snorkeling, we went to have some lunch, relax a bit and after we headed again to Mahana Point. Had some beers, laughs and another small surf session.

The last day, before heading back to the island of Bali, we still managed to visit some beaches around our hotel. Found one really beautiful, Dream Beach and decided to stay there for a while. Refreshed and very happy with our decision to do this adventure, we were ready to get back to Balangan.
