COVENTRY BEAT LEICESTER 2-1! | The M69 belongs to Coventry

On 17th January 2026, Coventry City welcomed Leicester City to the CBS Arena for the M69 Derby — and this one had everything.

Coventry came into the game needing a win after a rough few weeks (no wins since Boxing Day), despite sitting top of the table thanks to an outrageous start to the season and goals flying in for fun. Add derby pressure and bragging rights? Recipe for chaos.

We kicked the day off at Dhillon's Brewery — absolutely packed to the rafters.
We met loads of Coventry fans, bumped into a few Leicester fans brave enough to show their faces, and honestly spent most of the time chatting football, laughing, and soaking up proper derby-day atmosphere.
