Two and a half year old GB# 163 was on his own for the first time, mom had just kicked him lose. It didn't take long for him to pick up with another exceptionally young bear. He and this female were stuck at the hip together, traveling and feeding with each other. At times they would even mate, but for the most part they were just going through the motions as neither were sexual mature yet, with zero chance the young female could carry at her age and her lack of fat storages.
These two were seen all over together until one day when GB# 164, a five year old male injected himself into the situation relegating 163 to spectator status. There was some funny business but it was short lived as 164 moved on to older females and this female returned to 163.

grizzlies including these three as well as 163's five year old sister 139, come together during the mating season, chasing after each other to assert their dominance. It was quite the day, enjoy the content!
