Exploring Fraser Island (on fire!) Troopcarrier Travels

Back on the creative roll with another video except this week, my best friend (Kirra) and I explore Fraser Island whilst the wild fire had been burning at 6 weeks (at this stage!). We actually managed to avoid being evacuated however they did shut the island due to severe changes in conditions the same Friday we came back to the mainland!

UNESCO listed Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world measuring 120km by 15km and is one of the most beautiful island to explore and travel. Accessible by 4WD vehicles, there is lakes, creeks, sand blows and tall rainforests to enjoy! The Troopy cruised through the week of sand driving without any problems... I did manage however to hit a few bumps a little fast and smash a few plates (don't stress they are my cheapies from Kmart before I decide on my next step... thinking enamel would be better suited!).

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this montage of our week long stay on Fraser Island, although it wasn't my first time exploring the island. it was my first without my parents, first Troopy trip and Kirra's first time to Fraser! With the fire now contained, luckily this beautiful island has now reopened on the 15th of December after I think 3 weeks of being closed to visitors! So now it the perfect time to buy your car pass, book that camp ground and buy your barge ticket and go and explore the QLD backyard!
