Watch Wayde van Niekerk, Yohan Blake, Usain Bolt — they all spend a good amount of time training on grass. That doesn’t mean you should completely cut out the track. If you're doing top-speed work, the track is preferable. However, when building a base or doing tempo runs, grass or turf is a great option.
