Re-Engineering the Chess Classics: Marshall-Janowski 1905 0-1 Queen's Gambit Declined

This video is in the Re-Engineering the Chess Classics series! To celebrate the publication of my new book (written together with my childhood coach Steve Giddins) I am examining a series of classic games - just as we did in the book - using the creative engine analysis techniques I described in "The Silicon Road to Chess Improvement" At the same time, I get to indulge my current obsessions for a couple of classic players ;) starting with Dawid Markelowicz Janowski. Born in 1867, Janowski is most remembered nowadays for 2 catastrophic matches against the great Emanuel Lasker which have overshadowed the period in his career during which he was one most feared players in the world. Janowski had a reputation as a poor endgame player (Capablanca once cited his outburst "I hate endgames!" when Capablanca asked him why he didn't try to improve his game in that area) but this seems excessively harsh as he has a number of fine endgame wins to his name, including this well-controlled win using his beloved two bishops to grind out a win against Frank Marshall from the black side of a Queen's Gambit Declined.
