1969 was 40 years ago. I wasn't around to experience the original love fest in upstate New York. However, 10 years ago in 1999, the television station I was working at had a large crew camped out at the Woodstock "reunion," and I was the anchor that weekend.
After two days of music and fun, the natives got restless and made such large bonfires, even one of the stages caught fire. MTV was there was left during the fires. Our crews remained all night, doing live shots.
Here is a quick look back at our coverage. I was able to put this together thanks to some of the photographers who made us all of "Behind the Scenes" tape. Oh, how I wish I could've used the best video. Unfortunately, I don't think full frontal nudity of men and women would be appropriate on my YouTube feed.
