Meet Chawadee Nualkhair — or Chow — a Thai-American food writer for the Thai Michelin Guide and the author of several books on Thai street food.

She’s here at Wooda House (airbnb link below), our oceanfront home in Koh Lanta to get one very special recipe from Mon for her latest book, which dives into the diverse food cultures across Thailand.

Today, we’re cooking some of Mon’s childhood favorites while chatting with Chow about her passion for Thai food — and what it was really like growing up Thai in the United States.
