Conference 1:16 was birthed in 2023 under the leadership and spiritual burden of Pastor Joshua Obeng, with the vision of raising a generation of young people who are unashamed of the Gospel and boldly live out their faith. Organized by the three youth ministries of Calvary Charismatic Center — The New Generation Ministry, The Saltcity Ministry, and The Young Adults Ministry — the conference draws its name and mission from Romans 1:16:
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…”

The heart behind Conference 1:16 is simple but powerful — to see young people set on fire for Jesus, living according to biblical patterns, committed to discipleship, and equipped to reach the lost. Each year, the conference brings together hundreds of youth to encounter God deeply through the Word, worship, and community.

Now in 2025, we step into a new dimension under the theme “Wild Fire.” We believe this year’s gathering will spark a fire in the hearts of young people — one that cannot be contained — burning with boldness, passion, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Joshua Obeng returns to minister and lead this charge, joined by MOG Music, Minister Naamah Atta-Yeboah, and Peculiar People.

Every year, Conference 1:16 grows — in fire, in hunger, and in impact. More young people are joining the movement, and the fire is spreading. We know that God is building something eternal through this gathering.

This is more than a youth conference. This is a divine assignment. This is Conference 1:16 — a wild fire that will not be quenched.
