Hotels at New South Promenade Blackpool

Join us for a walk-past the hotels at New South Promenade Blackpool on a lovely sunny morning in autumn. From the Pleasure Beach all the way to Starr Gate. Filmed on 25 November 2020.

So we start our walk at the Boulevard Hotel, right underneath the Big One at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, to take a look at these hotels at New South Promenade. This used to be the 'posh end' of Blackpool seafront, and after a period of decline and neglect its fortunes are turning again. A number of new hotels have been built at Blackpool South Shore and others are being refurbished. It's a nice place to stay and really handy for all of the seaside attractions of Blackpool.

The first crescent is Colwyn Hotel to Waldorf. Then we come to the new Hampton by Hilton Hotel - opened in May 2018 and soon to be extended. The Solaris Centre is next on the promenade - notice the top being taken off the Mirror Ball on the seafront for refurbishment.

Pass the former Abbeydale Care Home which was closed down in 2013 to be transformed into private apartments, and the next crescent is Harrow Place. Not much further past here the holiday accommodation gives way to private flats and houses. Then we end this walk at the big tramshed at Starr Gate.
