Jace Rourke, a hardened mercenary bearing a living sigil along his spine, is hired to train the imperial guards aboard a cathedral-like warship. It should have been routine—drills, discipline, pay. Instead, the vessel and its blue-skinned empress recognize the ancient mark, waking dormant systems and unearthing a failsafe that could erase entire star systems. As an invasion shatters the calm, relic weapons align to the mark’s resonance and the ship threatens to become an instrument of extinction. Jace refuses to be fate’s pawn. Choosing human agency over prophecy, he reroutes the vessel’s will and turns annihilation into restraint. This cinematic short explores legacy, duty, and what it means to protect rather than destroy when power demands obedience.
