When I started this build, the drum was going to be a 14"x15", rope-tuned field drum with gut snares. Well, for a variety of reasons, that has changed. The final video is up (or will be very soon), and you can see that there is now custom single-tension hardware instead of ropes and synthetic snares strung up via the very sweet Pearl SR-500 strainer system (and, frankly, I want to use this strainer on all of my builds from now on). The desire was that this would provide greater flexibility in tuning and less variation in snare tension due to the atmospheric issues like humidity and heat.
