BMW E46 3 SERIES FACE LIFT HEADLIGHT REMOVAL WITH HEADLIGHT WASH
I would recommend a headlight wash delete as they are prone to failure, which is what I will be doing, as this job was more fiddly than expected.

Tools Needed
Wrench with 8mm Socket & Extension
Hex Wrench or Impact driver with T20 Torx
Hex Extension
Plastic Leavers
Tin of WD 40

Remove Trim Pieces:
Front Bumper Trim (if applicable): Some models may require removal of the front bumper trim for better access. Consult your vehicle's service manual for specific instructions.

Access Headlight Mounting Points:
Locate the mounting bolts: These are typically located behind the headlight assembly. You might need to remove some plastic covers or clips to access them.

Remove Mounting Bolts:
Use the appropriate socket and ratchet to carefully remove the bolts securing the headlight to the vehicle.

Disconnect Electrical Connectors:
Carefully unplug the electrical connectors for the headlight, turn signal, and any other associated components.

Remove Headlight:
Gently pull the headlight assembly forward and out of the vehicle. Be mindful of any wires or hoses that may be connected.

Take photos:
As you disassemble the components, take photos to help with reassembly.

Be gentle:
