There used to be a famous fishing village in Tuas. After land acquisition at Tuas Village in the 1970s, some fishermen remained in the nearby waters to make a living. Former villagers reminisce about their past Kampong life, recalling Joo Koon School, Jurong Fishing Industries Association, Ju Ming Sia Society and Tuas Pek Kong Keng Temple. Although these familiar sites no longer exist, the bonds among the villagers stay intact.
