So, I've been teaching jazz for around 15 years, and over those 15 years, being a jazz educator on the Internet and of course, outside the internet; I've noticed that there are certain things that are always talked about when it comes to learning jazz, like learning solos by ear or working on music theory and all of the sub-categories of those which are all great advice.

But there are some advice that for some reason are just not being talked about when it comes to learning the language of jazz.

Today, I want to share with you 7 very crucial things that you need to know about learning jazz and actually getting better and improving at it. And I make an argument that some of these things I'm about to share with you are more important than a lot of the traditional advice out there. So, I think it's important to pay attention.'
