Ever wonder how all of those intermodal trains are assembled..? See how at East Mids Gateway near Nottingham in the UK.
Watch as the containers are moved around the yard effortlessly by the Maritime MHE container handlers. See a loco arrive from Seaforth docks with an empty rake and start to be loaded.
Also see the loco running around also how they have to navigate the S curve on approach to the yard.
The East Mids Gateway facility is expanding with the right hand pad now constructed with containers now starting to be stored on this side of the yard also.
