We keep talking about how modern Native Americans live in the US. This time Leonid Pashkowski and Culture Shock traveled to New York to find the Lenape people, who owned Manhattan before it was bought by the Dutch. So the Lenape are the real native New Yorkers. But unfortunately, there's hardly any trace of them left in the city. We met with a former chief of the tribe, as well as people from two other tribes, the Navajo and Osage, to find out how Native Americans live in the big cities of the United States. After all, there are many more of them living in cities than on reservations. We will learn the history of what happened to the Native Americans after the Europeans came to the continent, how their land was gradually taken away from them, and what status and rights the real Native Americans have now in the United States.
