After completing the Epynt Way, I ventured a few miles further, setting up camp in a secluded area above Builth Wells. What seemed like a peaceful spot, tucked away from the main roads, quickly turned into something far more mysterious. Hidden within a dense plantation, I stumbled upon a fenced-off enclosure, complete with a gate and remnants of a structure long forgotten.
The eerie remnants—rusted boundary, crumbled buildings, and strange markings—hinted at something significant, but what could it have been? The location was strangely abandoned, yet the traces of past use were undeniable. What kind of facility might this have been? Could it have been connected to the Second World War, when the Sennybridge training ground was very busy? Was this just an old storage depot, or something more?
Join me as I explore the strange details and unravel the mystery behind my campsite on one of the largest military training facilities in the country. What’s hidden behind the gate? Watch until the end to hear my theory and let me know what you think!
