I caught a GIANT bluegill while bass fishing on Lake Iamonia! This North Florida fishing adventure includes dodging gators and summer storms, and it all ends with a delicious blackened bass catch and cook.
Join me at Lake Iamonia in North Florida for a bass fishing adventure! Despite the heat, wind, and passing rain, I managed to hook two small bass and an absolute giant coppernose bluegill. Along the way, I spotted a couple of alligators lurking in the lake — always a good reminder that nature is in charge out here!
When the bite slowed down, I packed it in and headed back for a delicious catch and cook. I made blackened bass served with yellow rice and a baked potato — the perfect end to a tough but rewarding day.
This video is a great look at freshwater fishing in Florida, especially if you’re into bass fishing, panfish, or wildlife encounters.
