KTB Korean bow shooting practice 2 shooting styles (반깍지 Bankkakji & 온깍지 Onkkakji)

In this video I experiment with two different KTA shooting styles: 반깍지 Bankkakji & 온깍지 Onkkakji.


반깍지 Bankkakji 

This seems to be the mainstream style used for KTA. There is a minimalist approach to movement with bow arm and draw hand. I am told it's better for precision shooting. 


온깍지 Onkkakji

This is an older style derived from shooting heavy war bows. There is more movement in both the bow and draw arms as the energy from holding the bow open is dissipated with the arms by relaxing the body and allowing the movement to follow through. 


I am shooting my Jeil JIG JMG 58#@32” with 300 spine arrows (white Fletch) and 250 spine arrows (red Fletch)
