Coming up next an interview you won’t be able to take your eyes off of. I tracked down a lost paragon of the 80s. Dale Bozzio from Missing Persons This interview is a train wreck in the best possible way with Bozzio a singer whose band had 3 songs that everybody knows. And Even though any 80s kid can sing along to these songs and they defined early MTV.. NONE of them were actually hits. They got really close two of them hit #42 on the charts including Destination Unknown and Words and two others hit the Hot 100 including Walking In La and were all over the radio. The funny thing is Missing Person always gets included in the greatest one-hit wonders so really you could say they came close to being a one-hit wonder four different times but they definitely left their mark with a frontwoman whose strange costumes and futuristic style made here one of the most influential personalities of the time and it almost never happened… She almost died early in her career when she fell out of a high window at a holiday inn escaping an attacker. You gotta see this!

I’m really excited to bring you a very strange and cool episode of Revelations- where featured artists go deep on their greatest songs and albums. Today’s interview will have you rubbernecking! You won’t be able to take your eyes off of it. It’s one of the most compelling personalities of the 80s. Frank Zappa gave her and her band Missing Persons their start and they became one of the most influential bands of the new wave 80s. We have a sit-down with Dale Bozzio the stylistic paragon 80s new wave. She was way ahead of here time…influencing everybody who came after with her style and oversized personality.

In fact, you could argue that Lady GaGA ripped that persona off. Missing Persons had 3 songs everybody knows: Words and Destination Unknown which both hit #42 and Walking IN LA which hit #70, and Window which hit #63. But all four of these were hits on the Mainstream rock chart and on MTV. They are probably the only band that was nearly a one-hit wonder 4 different times even though they defined the era and are included in the top one-hit wonders ever.
