About Julie Kavner:
Julie Kavner is an American actress and voice artist known for her distinctive voice, natural comedic timing, and a career spanning television, film, and animation. She first gained widespread recognition in the 1970s for her Emmy-winning role as Brenda Morgenstern on Rhoda, where her portrayal of the self-effacing younger sister earned critical acclaim. Kavner went on to appear in numerous Woody Allen films, including Hannah and Her Sisters, Radio Days, and Deconstructing Harry, where she brought warmth and emotional nuance to her roles. In 1989, she began voicing Marge Simpson—as well as Marge’s sisters Patty and Selma—on The Simpsons, a role that became one of the most iconic in animation history. Throughout her career, she has been widely respected for her professionalism and ability to bring depth and heart to both comedic and dramatic roles.
