6x6 G-Wagon for the Australian Army. Loaded with 6,500 kg on the G-Wagon and 2,000 kg on the trailer. The hill was much steeper than it appears on the video and the driver made it look easy with the centre, rear (both axles) and front diff locks all engaged.
I worked on the project and had people telling me firstly that you couldn't do any real 4x4 work with an automatic transmission and secondly that 135 kW and 400 Nm weren't enough (same engine and 5 speed automatic transmission in both the 4x4 and 6x6 vehicles).......most of these guys changed their tune once they actually got to drive one!!
