Tier 1 peloton alternative bikes usually lack Metrics such as Resistance Number, Power Output, and usually cadence as well. You can add a cadence sensor to the crank arm to make up fro cadence, but usually you can't get Power (watts) or Resistance Number on these bikes.

Tier 2 peloton hack bikes you can expect to get Resistance Number, along with Cadence, and Power Output in Watts, Usually these bikes include usable metrics data, but lack a nice display or some way to run the Peloton App on the bike without adding your own 1 or 2 screens to the setup.

Tier 3 peloton alternative bike: Stryde is currently my only Tier 3 option. This bike gives you all your important metrics: Cadence, Power, Resistance number 0-100, and total Energy Output. The bike comes with a Tablet attached that allows you to run whatever app you'd like, including the Peloton Digital App.
This is the most expensive and best bike in the lineup. It is the most similar to the original Peloton bike, but you don't have to sign up for the $39 recurring monthly membership cost.
