41 Casio CT X3000 EDITING - SYNTH BRASS EDIT

The Casio CT-X3000 and CT-X5000 have some sound-shaping capabilities, so you can edit and tweak the built-in TONES to something you may prefer. But it can be difficult to know where to begin. Using a VST Software instrument as an inspiration and guide can be a good way to get started.

In this video I have used a patch from a virtual Casio CZ synth, based on the original synth that first appeared in the 1980's, and selected a brass patch. Then I found something similar on the CT-X3000 and adjusted a few parameters to try to match the virtual CZ sound.

It's never going to be a perfect head-to-head, but you may get a close enough match that you could use it on a song or a live gig, and you may even find yourself creating something you prefer on the CT-X.

Adding a second layer, controlled by an expression pedal, can inject further variety to the created TONE.
