Cylinder liner should be calibrated whenever decarbonisation of engine is carried out.
With the help of calibration we can gauge the condition of cylinder liner. Wear of liner can be measured.
Once the calibration is done with the help of manufacturer recommended value we can decide whether the liner can be used further or to be discarded.
Always liner calibration to be done with proper gauging tool.
