Solo Hiking Whistler’s Most Iconic Lakes & Peaks

This video captures the epic road trip from Lake O’Hara to Whistler, marking the start of my summer life in the mountains. It’s packed with stunning hikes, scenic lookouts, and some of the best views BC has to offer.

We kicked things off with a scenic stop at a lookout near Sicamous, then explored the panoramic Kenna Cartwright Trail in Kamloops. Driving to Lillooet, we found an incredible free campground before heading to the iconic Joffre Lakes, where we hiked to the Upper Lake and camped near beautiful waterfalls.

Arriving in Whistler, I got settled at the rec center and started summer life in full swing. The next day brought perfect weather for an epic hike to Watersprite Lakes—a stunning trail with crystal-clear alpine lakes. From there, I tackled the recently refreshed Demon Peak trail, summiting to jaw-dropping views of the Lions, Garibaldi Peak, The Black Tusk, and the surrounding peaks. I turned the trail into a loop, enjoying panoramic vistas and a bit of bushwhacking on the way down.

Before wrapping up, I stopped in Squamish, scoring some free and cheap food with Too Good To Go, and booked a ferry for an upcoming Vancouver Island trip—more adventures to come!
