Wooly Bugger’s.. out there in as many variation as there are tyers. A type of fly that has proven it’s worth, or maybe even it’s necessity over the years.
The Wolly Bugger is said to first have seen the daylight in 1967, being tied in the vise of Russ Blessing. Created to catch small mouth bass. The goal was to imitate a fly called, Dobsonfly larvae.. Russ added a marabou tail and the Wooly Bugger was born.
Here tied in a black suit with fluo orange/black rubberlegs to get extra movement and attraction.
