LIULI Crystal Art - Handcraft glass art since 1987

LIULI is an exquisite form of crystal art that goes beyond being just a medium; it embodies culture, spirit, life, philosophy, and passion. Established in 1987 by Chang Yi, a renowned film director, and Loretta H. Yang, a leading actress turned glass artist, LIULI has developed a modern interpretation of Asian cultural heritage through the pâte de verre technique. With meticulous handcrafted details, every LIULI design tells its own unique story of art.

Adhering to the principle of "To forever create art for the good of the heart," each LIULI piece comes with a poem in its packaging that conveys its story and meaning. The creation of each piece involves a comprehensive twelve-step pâte de verre process that spans six to eight months. LIULI produces a limited number of pieces, fostering an environment where artists are continually engaged in the creative process and remain relevant to the society we cherish.

Richly imbued with a traditional Asian artistic vocabulary and philosophical thinking, Yang’s works have been acquired by more than 22 museums for the permanent collections, including Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Palace Museum in Beijing, New York Museum of Arts and Design, The Corning Museum of Glass, Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
