Elvis Presley's 1958 recording of this song was a #1 hit in the US Billboard chart and spent two weeks at #2 in the R&B chart. It was featured in the Elvis movie, 'King Creole'. The great Wanda Jackson recorded an excellent cover version. It was written by Claude DeMetrius, who also wrote the rock 'n' roll song 'Mean Woman Blues', and 'Ain't That Just Like a Woman (They'll Do It Every Time)' (famously recorded by Louis Jordan in 1946). Hmmmm, there seems to be a theme to Claude's output...
