In this video, I share my experience reverse engineering the Dowelmax doweling jig. Then I put it to use on the legs for a folding murphy desk I designed and made for a client.

Off-the-shelf hardware you will need, in addition to the STL files above:
QTY 5 bushings (½” OD / ⅜” ID / 1” long): https://a.co/d/1l1hNxl
QTY 4 ¼” all-thread (4” long). The holes for all-thread are slightly larger than ¼” in diameter: https://a.co/d/gdCPxAb this is more all-thread than you’ll need. Hack saw accordingly
QTY 8 wing nuts to pair with your all-thread https://a.co/d/4mpZfuE
QTY 6 large washer (1 3/16” OD / ⅜” ID) - purchase according to your wing nut size
QTY 8 small washer (15/16” OD / 5/16” ID) - purchase according to your wing nut size
