Do you have a “queen bee” at your workplace — you know, that long-time coworker who acts like she runs the whole place?
I ended up in the same department as one, and there was a period when I was so stressed I could barely sleep.

People had warned me about her, but when we first met, I didn’t think she was that odd. We actually got along fairly well at first. But as time went on, she started commenting on everything I did, and within a month she was coming up to me every single day, practically bullying me.

Honestly, none of her so-called “advice” ever felt helpful, and talking to her never benefitted me in any way. We were severely short-staffed, drowning in work, constantly doing overtime, yet she would keep rambling on and on until I couldn’t get my own tasks done.

And her tone was so harsh. She was always irritated, sometimes even snapping at objects. Management had talked to her a few times, but because she never believed she was doing anything wrong, nothing really changed.

Looking back, seeing someone lash out like that, I can now think, “She must be a really unhappy person with zero emotional capacity.” But back when I was on leave, I didn’t have the mental space to detach myself like that.

I hope this music can bring a little comfort and gentle sleepto those who feel life can be just a bit too heavy sometimes 🌿🫧
