We found the perfect authentic Khmer lunch spot in Siem Reap, tucked inside a jungle-like restaurant with open-air cabanas, ceiling fans, and hammocks swaying in the breeze. The moment we arrived, every employee bowed and greeted us with the warmest smiles, making us feel truly welcome.
We ordered icy drinks with tropical fruits (only $1 each and so good I had to order two!), plus a full spread of traditional Khmer dishes:
Whole grilled chicken, juicy and flavorful
Somlor ktiss, a comforting sour soup
Fermented fish BBQ served on a wooden board
And several other authentic Khmer dishes
Between the peaceful jungle setting, kind hospitality, and incredible food, this was one of the most memorable meals we had in Siem Reap. 🌿🇰🇭
