Victorinox One Hand Trekker review: Practicality Perfected

My review of the Victorinox Swiss Army One Hand Trekker NS (the NS indicates it has a Non Serrated blade). This model features the Camo Handle, the Trekker is also available with black handle scales.

Both the blade and the large screwdriver/bottle open lock into place using a liner lock.As the name indicates, the blade can be opened with one hand, but don't expect it to fast opening like other knives. In practice I don't see this is a downside to this tool.

This video includes testing of the bottle opener, can opener, and the wood saw. The more I carry and use the Trekker, the more I like it. It is high quality and the sheer practicality is hard to beat. It is a great tool to have in the pocket in many situations such as EDC, hiking, camping, geocaching (the tweezers are great for extracting logs from those pesky micro and nano caches). Sure it's a little heavy and bulky compared to other folding knives, but it is much more than just a knife. It is a multi function tool that delivers a lot of capability. I think this more than makes up for any size and weight issues. I highly recommend this excellent tool, they are great value and if cared for should last a lifetime.
