The city of Fort Collins is kind of paradise as far as urban areas go. The surroundings are stunning, recreationally awesome, and verdant, and the city culture thrives. I love capturing the urban-wildland interface in this region, and I'm always up before the sun, so I get the best of it all! This video was shot with a DJI Air 3S on the morning of 12/15/2025, directly over CDOT easement, between city and county properties and private property (city Natural Areas and county Open Spaces cannot be flown over with drones), using automated waypoint flight defined by online GIS.
