VANDNA KARTE HAI HUM ORIGINAL RECORDING - 1969
The song 'VANDANA KARTE HAIN HUM,' written and composed by CECIL KUMAR, was originally, first recorded in 1969 in a Lucknow studio. It was sung by SHIRIN. This was played over FEBA RADIO regularly, and thus it gained much popularity.
Mr. DON RUBESH (from the Good News Broadcasting Society) sought permission from Cecil Kumar in 1972 to use this as Theme Music for a new programme by 'Back To The Bible, India.' Mr. Rubesh, then, rerecorded 'VANDNA SONG' in Sri Lanka for their new programme titled 'MASIHI VANDANA.' It was broadcasted at 6.45am over Radio Ceylon everyday for more than 20 years.
In the year 1975, the Vandna Song was, for the third time, recorded in CLARICE PAUL's voice with better orchestration in Prasad Studio, Madras. Thus 'THE VANDNA SONG,' written and composed by CECIL KUMAR in 1969, became an iconic song in the history of Hindi Gospel music to be sung in numerous churches and used as prayer song in thousands of schools in India.
