Did Pomni SAVE Gangle from Abstracting during Episode 4?

Alot of fans have speculated that gangle almost abstracted during episode 4. Let me explain.

So during episode 4 there’s a unique scene where gangle walks forward as glitchy sound effects play and her motion blurs a little. This is cut short when pomni talks to her and offers to close the shop, letting gangle get off early.

Although not confirmed, i think this was pretty clearly hinting at gangle almost abstracting. As we found out in past episodes with Kaufmo and Queenie, characters get more irritable and insane as they get closer to abstraction. To abstract is to give up or lose all hope. We see this pretty clearly with gangle throughout the episode. She acts more and more erratic as the episode went on, culminating in that scene with the glitchy effects.

This means that pomni technically saved gangle’s life. Her small act of kindness kept her living and prevented her abstraction. At the end of the episode zooble brings gangle over to the others which cheers her up.

This is why gangle drew the 3 of them together at spudsy’s after the episode ended. It’s her way of thanking the two characters who basically saved her life.
