Lentas (old names Lebene, Leion, Lenvi, Levin) is a small coastal village in the south of Crete. But its importance was great in the past. It served as a Roman trading port for Gortyna and a healing spa for wealthy Romans. Even before that, around 2,600 BC, the Minoans established a settlement here that spread over the entire hill.
Today, Lentas is a relaxing holiday destination full of taverns.
