In this middle school (grades 6-8) science lesson, students will explore the states of matter — solids, liquids, and gases — and uncover the mystery behind phase changes. Through engaging visuals and real-world examples, they’ll learn how heat energy affects atom movement, causing phase transitions like melting, evaporation, condensation, freezing, sublimation, and deposition.
