Monster Hunter Wilds - Unpierceable and Unstoppable - Insect Glaive - Solo - Arena - Challenge Quest

Gravios arena event for the World Championship in France (I think).

Insect Glaive is the best weapon. It's the most interesting, it has the coolest moves, it does aerial stuff. It's the goat, easily. I main SnS, followed by DB and then probably Lance, but I cannot deny IG is the boss.

That is why, I struggled for hours to get a better time than 4'29. I was abused by Gravios, he hit me, flamed me (literally), poisoned me and roared at me, but I finally got a good run.

The problem is you get no Mind's Eye and it is so tough to pop the belly. Once you do though, that's when the damage starts. I don't know why they gave Mind's Eye to Lance, a weapon that can hit spots with extreme precision, but then the wide-swinging Insect Glaive gets denied a decent tool to not struggle.

Not all weapons are created equally, I guess. It's 3:40 AM, but I finally got the run I wanted so I could do this weapon justice.

The weapon seems to suffer from dropped inputs, but it is more an issue with WHEN you start charging your weapon. It seems that after the weapon is behind you, animation-wise, you are good to go and you probably won't have any issues.

The kinsect, however, needs its speed and pierce increased. There is no reason why such difficulty should exist in getting your extracts. You aim at red, but Gravios' wings exist? You get brown.

Sometimes you charge the pierce as well and it does a slash hit instead of sending the kinsect. Such things make this weapon feel beyond clunky, when it should be the most sleek and amazing thing ever, by virtue of its nature.

SwAxe for example, feels amazing. IG is 50% fighting the monster, 50% fighting the kinsect.
