Embedded in the pavement of runways and taxiways, the lights automatically turn red when other traffic makes it dangerous to enter, cross, or begin takeoff.

Antes del despegue se puede observar el funcionamiento del sistema "Runway Status Lights" (RWSL) Un sistema que indica a los pilotos y operadores de vehículos que se detengan cuando las pistas no son seguras. Integradas en el pavimento de pistas y calles de rodaje, una serie de luces se vuelven rojas automáticamente cuando otro tráfico hace que sea peligroso ingresar, cruzar o comenzar el despegue.
Despues del despegue se puede observar Las Vegas Boulevard, la presa Hoover y el Gran Cañon.
